The Facility

Zion Canyon Mesa sits on top of a twenty-nine acre mesa, surrounded by Zion Canyon, with desert flowers, cacti and sagebrush. We host deer, quail and yes the occasional rattle snake. Two desert tortoises, Wallace and Zelda, burrowed in here as permanent residents.

We’re OPEN with four residency units, one with a built-in George S. and Dolores Doré Art Studio. Our OC Tanner Commons building is also open. We have a small library, kitchen, dining room, laundry facilities, restrooms, office and one of the most stunning 360 degree views on the planet. Together with some essential landscaping, Phase One is now happening. Phase Two includes four more residencies, another art studio, a music and film center and more. So stay tuned…

Here’s a flyover video:

The desert has a deep personality; it has a voice. . . .Great Leaders of all ages from Moses to Roosevelt, have sought the desert and heard its voice. You can hear it if you listen, but you cannot hear it while in the midst of uproar and strife . . . .
