THE DESIGN/BUILD CONCEPT involves University of Nevada at Las Vegas (UNLV) architectural students who design the buildings. Using non-traditional and/or indigenous materials they follow natural building methods and participate in the construction, with professional supervision.

PROPOSED BUILDING MATERIALS include: earth bricks, reclaimed wood, weathered metal, and/or Structural Isolated Panels (SIP) which are prefabricated wall panels with insulation and wiring built into them. Building materials will be eco-friendly, durable and will blend into the surrounding environment. All the structures will be handicap accessible and LEEDS certified.
